Yaoi/Shonen-ai

Yaoi/shōnen-ai
 Boys Love aka BL
focuses on homoerotic and homoromantic male relationships

The very first time I read a fanfiction story in Winglin, I saw the word "yaoi". I didn't know back then what it means so decided not to open it. But when a friend told me that "yaoi" means boy x boy story, I was like okay...its a homosexual thingy. I have nothing against the members of the third sex but I haven't even read a love story between two males. I'm aware of "Brokeback Mountain" and I have a lot of gay friends but reading a fiction story with your favorite kpop idol loving another male, was something new for me.
To cut the long story short...since my curiosity was at its peek, I told myself  to atleast try it. The first yaoi fanfic I've read was "Laundry Boy" by Kami no Kami. It was a rated fic which makes it more difficult for me to grasp. Hahaha. But I somehow manage to finish it.And then BAM!!! I got so addicted to it. But there are only specific pairs that I love to read. Like Yunjae, Yoosu, Jaemin, Jaechun...(I haven't tried Jaesu yet...)
So basically, all DBSK pairings. (including Minfood...LOLz)

(I've tried reading Kyuwook but it just doesn't work for me...uhm, Sichul is an exception! I love this pair too!!)

That's how it all started. It's been almost 10 months since I started reading and writing fanfiction stories. And most of my favorite stories are YAOI. A lot of people might not understand but I have this "tingling sensation" (idk how to describe it..hahaha...) whenever I see a yaoi film (well it still depends on the story...).

So far, I have seen three yaoi films...all from South Korea. The plot varies from cutesy/mushy type  to dead serious love story between two Adams.

It was kinda awkward at first but I've gotten used to it. Thanks to Yunjae! Hahaha...I've read the worst smut stories online and I'm not denying it. Lolz.
(Still couldn't get over with BDSM! LOLz!)

What I'm going to post here are some of the trailers and synopsis of the Yaoi films I've seen.

No Regret (film)

Released: November 16, 2006

**From the poster itself, I know your your brain cells might start to think dirty...haha..**

It was the first Yaoi film I've seen and my favorite so far! There are quite disturbing scenes to those who aren't used too homosexual topics but the film was surprisingly awesome. I enjoyed it not because the main lead is handsome and certainly not because of the rated scenes...but because the story of having been in love with the same sex and fighting for it even when others see it as something against the society's morals, is something that I personally want to experience...(experience means "you and me against the world" love story!)

 PLOT:

Su-min is an orphan who, having turned 18, is required to leave his orphanage. Unable to pay for university, he heads for Seoul where he works various jobs to pay for computer classes. One of those jobs is driving drunks home from bars. After losing his factory job, Su-min ends up taking a job at a host bar. Initially the boss of this host bar is reluctant to take him on, as he knows from experience that openly gay hosts will often leave when they become romantically involved with one of their clients. Having given up on love, Su-min believes that this won't happen to him, until one day a man from his past enters the host bar. That man, Jae-min, is a former driving client, who has fallen in love with Su-min. Su-min refuses his advances, and accepts him as a client only once, and threatens to kill him if he hires him again. Jae-min is undeterred, and after several weeks go by, Su-min gives in. They are very happy in their relationship until Jae-min's mother discovers them together. She orders Jae-min to marry the woman he's been dating halfheartedly. Su-min is angry. With another man from the host bar, they kidnap Jae-min one night and take him to a shallow grave in the forest. Su-min watches passively as his colleague throws dirt on Jae-min, but eventually moves to stop the plan. His colleague already depressed over a two-timing girlfriend, whacks Su-min with the shovel and leaves the two there in the grave. Su-min awakens the next morning, takes Jae-min out of the grave and back to the car. The cops show up, but inside Su-min and Jae-min silently reconcile.

Part 1

Part 2

A 13-minute short film with no words spoken. Yes it is a silent film! But regardless of the lack in conversations, the characters were able to perform their roles well, through eye contacts and facial expressions. Hye seong was really cute in this film! I first saw him in "Jenny and Juno" (Korean film too..) and I instantly fell in love with his charms.

How I wish it was a full-length movie! I would love to see what happens next to their relationship!
The short film was so sweet that at one point I totally forgot that they are both males! Hahaha...

One thing that I learned from this short film...
Sometimes, words are not needed for you to describe to someone dear to your life, about how you truly feels....
